It typically goes something like this: Sally, the consumer insights director at Big Corporation, talks with her internal clients and develops a request for proposal (RFP) for a market structure study. A carefully designed, well-written RFP would take Sally several days to put together. This RFP is then sent to five to 10 (or more) research firms for proposals.
